5 day Albarracin Bouldering Trip

Escape the winter blues with a Spanish bouldering trip. Albarracin is well known for it’s medieval architecture, forests trails, cave paintings and hundreds of glorious sandstone boulders.

This trip is designed to refine your outdoor bouldering tactics, improve your movement technique and get you thoroughly enjoying the process of working boulder problems at your limit.

Programme:

I’ll be there to meet you at the accommodation on Sunday afternoon and you’ll have the evening to settle in.

Monday to Thursday will include 3 days of bouldering movement and tactics coaching and 1 rest day. During this, we will refine skills for topping out, spotting confidently, movement on slabs, roofs and how best to work problems at your limit. I have put one rest day into the mix to encourage you to relax, read books, enjoy the forest, and regrow skin!

I have kept a maximum group size of 6 people so that I have the ability to provide individualized coaching.

  • Albarracin is located in Teruel province which is inside Aragon autonomous community in east-central Spain.

    The closest international airport and is VALENCIA which is 2 hours drive. From BARCELONA it takes 4.5 hours and from MADRID the drive is 3.5 hours.

    We will suggest to rent a car from any of those airports, that is the most comfy way to move around between the boulders, town and the guesthouse.

    Cutting down on air travel? There are some other ways to do it.

    -Blabla car app, that is the most common car sharing app in the country.

    -Bus.

    -Train.
    International trains go from LONDON to TERUEL, via PARIS, BARCELONA and VALENCIA.

    Any of those 3 options will take you to TERUEL.

    There is a daily bus (except Sundays) from TERUEL to ALBARRACIN it leaves at 14:00 from the bus station.

    Taxi service also available from TERUEL to ALBARRACIN in about 50€ for the drive.

    With everyone’s permission, I can put you in touch with the other course participants to team up on travel costs and logistics.
